Empowerment through transparency resonates deeply with me as I reflect on my journey. Having lost both of my parents at a young age, facing the challenges of being a high school dropout, and becoming a parent before marriage, I find solace in the words of these articles. They breathe life into my younger self and inspire me to embrace vulnerability in order to uplift others, just as this site has uplifted me.
Reading through the various pieces, I'm reminded of my own story and the multitude of obstacles I've managed to overcome. I am truly grateful to the writer for their courage to be so open and willing to share authentic experiences. Their willingness to step outside societal norms and share real stories can be a beacon of hope for those who may be struggling and hesitant to reveal their own truths.

This powerful book is raw, real, and redemptive. Deb opens her life like a journal, showing how truth and transparency can break chains and build strength.
Her story is one of resilience, revealing how healing through truth becomes both a mirror and a guide, inviting us to live with courage, clarity, and purpose.
I love how she shares scriptures to show the depth of God’s love and the promises He’s made to us.
A must-read for anyone seeking freedom through vulnerability.

Being a part of the Empowerment Through Transparency community and reading Deb Davis’s powerful book has truly been a light during one of the most difficult seasons of my life. After experiencing a devastating divorce and struggling with the loss of my self-confidence, this group gave me a safe space to heal, reflect, and rebuild.
Though I may not speak often in the group, I see the words, the love, and the strength shared by each of you and I carry that with me. The vulnerability, encouragement, and raw transparency within this space has helped me rediscover my own voice and reminded me that I am still worthy, still whole, and still powerful.
Thank you for helping me push through, for reminding me I’m not alone, and for empowering me to rise again.
